When a submission has been accepted for publication, after any revisions asked for by the editors have been satisfactorily completed, the author will be sent instructions for depositing their final version via the journal’s ScholarOne portal. Pdf files should not be supplied for the main text. Any illustrative material should preferably be given in tiff rather than jpeg format and at a minimum resolution of 300 dpi (dots per inch). Note that music examples must be provided by authors ready for publication, and should where possible be prepared so as to appear at 4mm staff height when printed at a width of 13.5cm. The publisher reserves the right to typeset material by conventional means if an author’s final version proves unsatisfactory.
Funding open access
Multiple funding routes are available for Gold Open Access articles. Please see this journal's open access options for details.
Author Information Form
After acceptance you will receive an email from no-reply@cambridge.org inviting you to complete an Author Information Form. You will be required to confirm information relating to your article, which will be reflected in your final publication and in your digital publishing agreement, if applicable. Once you have completed the Author Information form and signed your publishing agreement, your article will proceed into production.
Production
Once an article has been accepted and the Author Information Form has been completed, the process of copyediting, typesetting, proofing, and publishing the article will begin.
Your point of contact with Cambridge University Press will be the content manager of the journal. For more information about how production works at Cambridge University Press, please see our information about our publication journey, which explains how an article goes from accepted manuscript to fully published. Note that there may be small variances in this process between journals. More information is available at our Journal Production FAQs.
Corrections
Changes cannot be made to articles once published either online in FirstView or as part of an issue. Any changes must be made via the standard process of issuing a correction notice. Please contact the Editorial Office and Content Manager for the journal if any error has been identified. The final decision on whether a correction notice should be published will be taken by the Publisher in consultation with the Editorial Team. For more information please refer to our FAQs.
