We’re delighted to announce that all research articles accepted for publication in Eighteenth-Century Music from 4 September 2025 will be ‘open access’; published with a Creative Commons licence and freely available to read online (see the journal’s Open Access Options page for available licence options). 

We have an OA option for every author: The costs of open access publication will be covered through agreements between the publisher and the author’s institution, payment of APCs for those with third-party funding, or else waived entirely, ensuring every author can publish and enjoy the benefits of OA.

Eighteenth-Century Music is a well-established journal covering all areas of research into music of the long eighteenth century (c1660-1830). Alongside articles and essays from both leading and emerging scholars, it also includes a wide range of reviews and a communications section that reports on conferences and other items of interest from around the world.
Eighteenth-Century Music is an open access journal in which all research content is published Gold Open Access.
