About the editors
Michael Goebel is the Einstein Professor of Global History at the Freie Universität Berlin. His research focuses on the histories of nationalism, of cities, and of migration. He is the author of Anti-Imperial Metropolis: Interwar Paris and the Seeds of Third World Nationalism (2015).
Tracy Neumann is the co-coordinator of the Global Urban History Project. Her research focuses on global and transnational approaches to cities and the built environment. She is the author of Remaking the Rust Belt: The Postindustrial Transformation of North America (2016) and of essays on urban history and public policy.
Joseph Ben Prestel is an Assistant Professor (wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter) of history at Freie Universität Berlin. His research focuses on the histories of Europe and the Middle East in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries as well as on global and urban history. He is the author of Emotional Cities: Debates on Urban Change in Berlin and Cairo, 1860-1910 (2017).
