For the avoidance of doubt, all articles are published open access in MIH regardless of the author's funding. The costs of open access publication are covered through agreements between Cambridge at the author's institution, payment of APCs by funding bodies, or else waived entirely, to ensure every author can publish and enjoy the benefits of OA.
Article processing charges (APCs)
This journal is a wholly open access journal, which means all articles are published Gold Open Access under a Creative Commons licence. In many cases the costs of publishing Gold Open Access articles are covered by institutional open access agreements. Authors not covered by such an agreement may have funding from their funding body or institution to pay an article processing charge (APC). However Cambridge provides multiple other routes to funding Gold Open Access, including equity initiatives and APC waivers and discounts, in order to ensure that every author can publish in this journal and enjoy the benefits of Gold Open Access.
