Following on from the previous chapter, we now explore measurement of gases and anaesthetic agents. There are different segments specifically on anaesthetic agents, oxygen and carbon dioxide measurement in gases and in the blood, non-invasive measure of oxygen with oximetry and capnography within breathing systems. This is core material for any practising anaesthetist and vital knowledge for the exam.
