Hi Stephen
Here it is. I keep feeling there's much more I should be able to say. And yet what it is I'm at a loss to say! On the other hand the linear dimension of the story is so dominant … judge for yourself. I can't but admit that there is a grace, delicately displayed in the telling, one I cannot overlook. If the piece is unusable, say so. Don't go shy on me!
Warmest regards
Zeke

My dear Stephen,
Your embellished piece is most commendable. Coming from a writer of your standing it could never be excessively dressed up! You have actually improved on my original. As I read it now (mine) it does look skimpily dressed! Who knows, with old age I may be turning puritan …
Sincerely, you have put in essential additional information about Hutch. Thanks for that. Am pushing to be out of here before end of Feb. The expense of it may drive me back to the job-hunting queues. But as South Africans are so age-conscious, I may be back to the old days of eating bird-meat! Or maybe I can ask Cheney – Bush's Vice – to give me a few hints on bird shooting …
Thanks again Stephen.
