Dr Mohammed Abdel-Haq is a Professor in Banking and the Director of the Centre for Islamic Finance, the Director of the Centre for Opposition Studies and Assistant Vice Chancellor for Postgraduate Development at the University of Bolton. He is also the Principal of Hume Institute for Postgraduate Studies, Lausanne, Switzerland; Affiliate Professor, Kings College London and an Associate at London School of Economics – IDEAS. Mohammed has a long career in banking in Citibank, Deutsche Bank, ABN AMRO and HSBC. He is also CEO of Oakstone Merchant Bank, London. Mohammed is co-author of a book on Islamic finance and wrote several articles and reports. He is a Freeman of the City of Oxford and the City of London and has also been acknowledged in WHO’s WHO since 2013.
