Appendix A: Holywell Street Publishers’ Catalogues

This appendix provides a list of catalogues associated with the early-Victorian trade in sexual entertainment that inform Chapter 1 and parts of Chapter 4.

Appendix B: Translations of Consulting Surgeons’ Manuals

This appendix provides bibliographic information for translations of four manuals associated with consulting surgeons discussed in Chapter 2, in all of the languages that the manuals were translated into to my knowledge. Readers should be aware that this appendix is not a comprehensive list of translated editions, however: as with the English versions, translations of these manuals were issued in many editions, over many years, by many different publishers in different countries. Most of the translations listed in this appendix have been digitized by the institutions that own them or by external organizations, such as Google Books. Where possible, I have provided location information for original print copies.
