Electromagnetic wave propagation in a randomly crystalline medium

Abstract

Propagation of electromagnetic waves is considered in a crystalline solidmedium with random parameters. We predict the generation of new exciton-typetransversal and longitudinal waves caused by fluctuations of concentration andfrequency.
