This paper presents a new method for preparing composites of phosphogypsum, a chemical industry waste, and synthetic (polyester, epoxide and vinyl ester) resins. These composites, after thermal improvement of the phosphogypsum, are called CLM (ceramic-like materials). They are characterized by highly desirable physical, chemical, mechanical and strength-related properties which enable there usage as anti-corrosive coatings for storage tanks and as durable floor coatings in many branches of industry.
