Join the Editorial Team – Social Media Editor (Volunteer Role)
Journal of Tropical Ecology is seeking a proactive and creative Social Media Editor to join its Editorial Board. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in shaping the journal’s online presence and contribute to its growth and visibility within the global tropical ecology community.
About the Role
The Social Media Editor will lead efforts to increase engagement with the journal through strategic use of social media. You’ll be responsible for revitalising the journal’s currently inactive X (formerly Twitter) account, curating and sharing content that reflects the journal’s scope, and fostering connections with researchers and professionals in the field.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote journal articles, themed collections, and news via the journal’s X account.
- Share relevant updates from the field and engage with other accounts in the tropical ecology and wider scientific community.
- Participate in annual Editorial Board meetings and occasional team calls.
- Act as an ambassador for the journal, supporting its outreach and promotional activities.
