Professor Tünde Fülöp, of the Division of Subatomic, HighEnergy and Plasma Physics at Chalmers University of Technology, and editorial board member of the Journal of Plasma Physics has been elected to the Hungarian Academy of Sciences

Members elected to the Hungarian Academy of Sciences in 2025
From among the 136 researchers included on the joint list of candidates, the Assembly of Academicians elected the new full, corresponding, external, and honorary members of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences on Wednesday, May 7, 2025.
Following the election, the Hungarian Academy of Sciences has 294 full members, 71 corresponding members, 201 external members and 191 honorary members.
Five women were elected as new national corresponding members, and nine as new full members. This means that there are 25 (8%) women full members and 12 (17%) women corresponding members.
Tünde Fülöp was elected to the Section of Physical Sciences alongside Gábor Forgács and
Gergely Zimányi
