Joel Mokyr of Northwestern University, former editor of The Journal of Economic History, has been awarded the Nobel Prize in Economic Sciences in recognition of his extraordinary contributions to the field.
The Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences recognized Joel "for having identified the prerequisites for sustained growth through technological progress" - the Official Website of the Nobel Prize.
In celebration of this achievement, the JEH editors are delighted to share a collection of key articles authored by Joel Mokyr and published in the journal, which are free to access until the end of 2025.
