The Journal's August 1995 issue (54.3) carried an error in Brian Woodall's review of Albrecht Rothacher's The Japanese Power Elite, pp. 223–24. Paragraph 1, line 6 reads “…with some ¥400 elderly men…” The yen sign should not have appeared in the text.
