The author regrets the misattribution of the quote “tired of the multiculturalism of Europe” on page 1106 to Peter Thiel and Blake Masters’s Zero to One (2014, 97). The corrected sentence should read:

During the early period of colonialism, men who tired of “the growing complexity of European life” (Thiel and Sacks Reference Thiel and Sacks1995, xxv) could escape to new territories, whereas contemporary men have no such options.
