Summary

This note presents the results of the application of amomentum control surface analysis to the estimationof the drag of bodies and surfaces placed in thetest section of a windtunnel. The assumptions of themethod are stated and accuracy of the methodconsidered with particular reference to the drag ofriblet surfaces at high subsonic speeds, the drag oftwo-dimensional cavities at both high subsonic andlow supersonic speeds, and the drag of manipulatorsat high subsonic speeds.
