1 Subsequent to the writing of the book under review, the Treaty of April 8, 1965, establishing a single Council and a single Commission of the European Communities, entered into force. It merges the three councils into the (one) Council of the European Communities and replaces the High Authority of the Coal and Steel Community and the Commissions of the European Economic Community and of Euratom by the (one) Commission of the European Communities.
